The International Foundation Programme has an excellent reputation in the UK, and is accepted by King’s and many other UK universities as evidence that you have reached the required general entry levels for undergraduate study.

Many of our students go on to study at King’s for their undergraduate degree, as we guarantee conditional offers for many of our undergraduate programmes. Students who do not meet their King’s offer requirements or who don’t wish to stay at King’s can also progress onto undergraduate degrees at other UK universities, and we offer extensive UCAS support to all students.

If you’d like to find further course information about the International Foundation Programme, please refer to the King's Foundations webpages. Here you can find links to the prospectus entries for each of the available pathways, where you can access more information about the course content and structure, term dates and fees.

Important to know:

Please note that the Foundation Programme is primarily designed for non-native English speakers who have completed their education in a country where the medium of instruction is not English. We will typically not consider students who identify as nationals of the following majority English speaking countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, UK, USA.

We might be able to consider applications from those students who have been instructed in English abroad, or who have completed studies in a British curriculum.  In these instances we will ask for further information about an applicant’s education history prior to determining eligibility for the programme.

How & when to apply
To apply for the International Foundation Programme at King’s you will need to submit an application form through King's ApplyYou do not need to wait until you have your final results before applying, as you can receive an offer conditional to your final academic or English language results.

Important to know: the final deadline to apply is usually at the end of July. We might still accept applications after this date, but place availability will be more limited because this is a limited entry programme. You also need to leave enough time to apply for your visa and book your flights.
