This includes the following:

- Students taking electives
- Study Abroad students
- Undertaking a period of research
- Retaking modules and resitting exams
- Distance learning
- Taking a viva
We will be providing updated guidance shortly but in the meantime please see the UKCISA guidance for further information. Additionally, If you have concerns or need advice, please get in contact with the Visa & International Advice team.
Important to know: Please note this only applies to students needing a new visa after 1 December. Those who are currently on a Short-term Study visa obtained before 1 December will be able to continue normally under the same conditions and do not need to apply for a new visa.
