What is a start up visa?
The Start up visa is route is for people who have developed a credible business idea and who want to set up their own business in the UK. UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) have introduced a Start-up visa route in order to allow both graduates and non-graduates alike to apply for a 2-year visa to set up their own business in the UK. The Start -up visa scheme is open to both graduates and non-graduates who have been endorsed by an approved endorsing body. A list of endorsing bodies can be found on the Gov.uk webpages.
King’s College London is an authorised endorsing body for the Start-up visa scheme. Please refer to the King’s Entrepreneurship Institute webpage for guidance on how final year students and alumni can apply to be endorsed by King’s College as a Start-up visa holder.
More details of the requirements and how to apply are available on UKCISA's website. The International Student Advice Team can assist you with preparing your application form and supporting documents.
