What is the PRES?

The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) is the only national survey of the experiences of postgraduate research students across the UK and takes place every two years, and we want to hear from as many of you as possible.

The survey is run by Advance HE and has research institutions from across the UK taking part. It’s a great opportunity for students to share their honest feedback on what it has been like to carry out their research at King’s.

Why should you take part?

  • Completing the survey not only gives you the chance to say what you like about your course at King’s, but importantly what changes could be made to improve your experience.
  • You can be honest. The survey is run independently by Advance HE, and all responses are anonymised before they are shared with King’s – so your feedback will remain completely confidential.
  • By sharing your feedback, you’ll be making a difference to our university and helping raise the concerns of postgraduate researchers as every faculty has to respond to the results in their action plans
  • The survey is quick and simple and should only take you about 15 minutes to complete.

When is the PRES open and how do I complete it?
