What is the PTES?

The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) is run by King’s, in partnership with Advance HE, and is open to eligible postgraduate taught students from Monday 7 April 2025.

The survey provides the opportunity to share open, honest, and confidential feedback on your Master's, Postgraduate Diploma, or Postgraduate Certificate experience. The results help us understand what is working well and how we can improve. The survey gathers feedback on the following key areas:

•    Teaching and learning
•    Engagement
•    Assessment and feedback
•    Organisation and management
•    Skills development
•    Community

Why should you take part?

This is your opportunity to use your voice and share your postgraduate  experience of studying at King’s. You can be open and honest in your feedback because all responses are anonymised before they are shared with King’s – so your feedback will remain completely confidential. The responses you provide are of great importance to us and are considered at the highest college levels.

Additionally, the survey is quick and simple and can be completed online in only 15 minutes. You can also win one of 25 graduation packages if you enter our prize draw.

When is the PTES open and how do I complete it?

At King’s, the PTES will launch on Monday 7 April and close on Friday 13 June 2025. All eligible students will receive a personalised link emailed from studentsurveys@kcl.ac.uk on Tuesday 8 April (no need to log in). Eligible students can also visit the King's PTES webpage and complete the survey by filling in your student ID number (found on your student ID card) and date of birth to access the survey.
