Venio is a tool used at King’s to record student attendance during timetabled sessions – think of it as a digital register.
It helps King's to spot when a student might benefit from additional support, either academically or in relation to their wellbeing.
For instance, if a student misses a number of sessions, this will prompt an email to check in on them to see how they are doing. This offers proactive and timely support where needed to help them get back on track with their studies.
Our aim is to identify students who may need additional support early, so they can stay on track and feel supported throughout their studies.
Who needs to use Venio?
Most students at King's now use Venio to register their attendance. However, not all programmes are using it, so please check with your department.
You can understand more about what's expected of you regarding attendance and engagement at King's by reading the Student Attendance Engagement and Prolonged Absence Procedure.
It is important that you use your timetable, not Venio, as the sole course of scheduling information so you're aware of all planned courses.
