LC: Applying for a Language for Business Module as a King’s Business School student

The table below provides an overview of the module’s key details, including credits, duration, teaching mode, location, class size and available levels.

Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. 

Language for Business modules are available to eligible undergraduate King's Business School students. Availability and whether a module may count towards your degree depends on your programme and year of study. Before applying, you should review the detailed eligibility and award-status guidance available on KEATS. 

Programme-specific information

• Year 1 International Management BSc students take a Language for Business module as a compulsory part of their degree programme.  

• Students in later years of eligible KBS programmes (International Management BSc, Economics & Management BSc, Accounting & Finance BSc, and Business Management BSc) can take a Language for Business module, subject to programme regulations and availability. 

Important to know:  Language for Business modules run across the full academic year. If you are planning to take a semester abroad, you won’t be able to enrol on one of these modules for the same academic year.

Applications must be made through the module selection and enrolment process applicable to your degree programme. Full application guidance, including programme-specific instructions, application forms, and relevant links, is available on KEATS. 

Students are placed into an appropriate stage based on previous experience of the language. A language level assessment may be required for students with prior knowledge. Full guidance on level selection is available on KEATS.  

Language for Business modules are assessed through a combination of:

• written examination and 

• oral & listening examination.
