King's Black Excellence (KBE) is a programme designed for Black and Mixed Black heritage home undergraduate students across all year groups at King's.
The programme aims to foster belonging, enhance the student experience and support academic success for King's students to thrive during their university journey and beyond. KBE also aims to address disparities in awarding gaps by offering tailored events and support, opportunities and community-building activities.
KBE is a King's College London initiative led by the Student Transition & Outcomes department and co-created with students.
What the programme offers

Community and belonging: Free and fun events for building connections and enhancing the student experience. This includes events such as socials, hair braiding sessions and film nights.

Academic support: Tailored workshops, study groups, and academic resources to help you navigate university so you can thrive without avoidable obstacles.

Career readiness support: Opportunities to network with Black professionals and King's alumni across different fields, as well as tailored workshops and opportunities just for KBE students.
