New students starting in September 2022: If exceptional circumstances mean you are not able to be in London and ready to attend your in-person classes by the start of teaching, you need to let your faculty know as soon as possible and arrive no later than 10 October 2022. It’s important that you keep up to date with the latest travel information. Visit GOV.UK for guidance and make sure to check any local government advice.
If you are an EU/EEA/Swiss national and used the “UK Immigration: ID Check” app to apply for your Student visa, your Student visa will be granted as a digital status. You will not be issued a visa vignette in your passport and will not be required to collect a Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) on arrival to the UK.
You should check your visa grant email to be sure that your visa has been granted online, this should include the wording “Evidence of your immigration status can be accessed online”.
If your visa grant email confirms you will be issued with a BRP, please refer to “I’m a new student, how will I receive my Biometric Residence Permit (BRP)”
Important to know: Don’t forget to check your visa for errors as soon as you receive it.
