There’s a problem with my modules, what should I do?

Send an email to the IT Service Team and they should be able to help you.

Please bear in mind that you can only see the online module selection tool in Student Records during the module selection period – not before or after it.

If the module selection period is underway and you still can’t see it, send an email to your faculty/department’s programmes team as soon as possible

If your programme doesn’t allow you to have optional modules, then there will be no optional modules to select.

The email from Student Records will confirm that your core and compulsory modules have been automatically selected for you.

Some departments collect optional modules outside of the Online Module Selection tool, and they’ll contact their students directly on the process for manually registering for optional modules.

The email from Student Records will advise you if your programme falls into this process. If you have any questions about the process, contact your faculty/department.

If you change your mind about the modules that you wish to take, then you should contact your faculty/department to discuss your options with them.

Not all departments are able to allow changes to modules, and most departments will have a deadline by which they can process any module changes.
 

If you’ve requested a module change from your faculty/department, this won’t be reflected in the ‘My Modules’ section of Student Records or your personal timetable until it has been approved and actioned by your faculty/department.

Once approved, we aim for the changes to your modules to appear on your personal timetable within approximately 5 working days. KEATS enrolment will follow and the changes on your record should also soon follow.
 

If your faculty/department has asked you to select modules in preference order, initially you’ll have too many modules on your record until your faculty/department has completed the module allocation process.

Once the process has been completed, you’ll receive a confirmation email and your personal timetable will be updated within 2 working days.

Important to know: If you haven’t selected your modules in preference order, you should contact your faculty/department to discuss this.
 

To check what you’re registered for:

• Log in to Student Records

• Go to ‘My Modules’

• Check the page 'View Module Registrations'.

If you think that you’re registered on the wrong modules, please contact your faculty/department directly to let them know as soon as possible.
