The Faculty Wellbeing Advisors are part of the Student Wellbeing Team. They're here to support your wellbeing needs throughout your time at King's.  The team works closely with your faculty, KCLSU and King's support services to ensure you have what you need to succeed while studying at King's.

We know there are a lot of support avenues for you to access at King's, and the team can help you navigate these. They will work closely with your Personal Tutor and you will see them around campus, offering wellbeing appointments where you can talk to them one-to-one.

To learn more about the role of your Personal Tutor, read our article Who is my personal tutor & what do they do?

Throughout your studies, you may find that your personal sense of wellbeing may vary, if it does, we have many routes to support you and resources for you to support yourself.

How can the Faculty Wellbeing Advisors help me?
The Wellbeing team uses a Solution-Focused Coaching model which empowers you to support yourself. Our Advisors work with you to identify your challenges and to find the best routes through these. This can be by introducing you to new coping tools, giving information on specialist services and introducing you to relevant support groups. When you work with an Advisor you are offered a safe environment to explore the challenges you are facing. Then, the Advisor works with you to determine which opportunities are best to take forwards and helps you to create an action plan tailored to your needs.

Some examples of wellbeing areas our team can work with students on:
  • Feelings of loneliness or not fitting in at King's/within your community
  • Challenges around overwhelm, procrastination, perfectionism
  • Troubles navigating which support services might be right for you
  • Prioritising competing pressures
